Clinical Supervision

My approach to supervision is collaborative, empathetic and challenging. I believe that effective supervision extends beyond developing clinical competencies and knowledge; it is also an opportunity for personal and professional growth, self-reflection and the development of a strong therapeutic identity.

I take an individualised approach to learning, recognising that every psychologist brings their own strengths, experiences, values and ways of relating to therapy. My aim is to create a supportive yet challenging space in which supervisees feel empowered to explore their clinical work, question their assumptions, build confidence and develop their skills.

Ultimately, I want to help supervisees discover and refine their own unique therapeutic style, rather than simply adopting someone else's. I believe that becoming an effective psychologist involves developing the confidence to practise authentically, drawing on one's individual strengths while remaining grounded in evidence-based practice. My goal is to support supervisees in becoming the most authentic, capable and effective psychologists they can be.

** Fabian has completed his supervisor training with Deakin University and is in the processes of seeking AHPRA accreditation. He is NOT yet a board-approved supervisor and will likely become approved in December 2026.
